Connecting the dots-by water

A number of years ago, a bunch of guys set out to paddle a canoe from Lake Superior to James Bay. It took five years, and a bazillion miles of shuttel runs, but they did it. Then a couple of the guys decided to "finish the trip" by paddeling from Lake Superior to-----the Gulf of Mexico. The idea being to connect Sea to Sea across the middle of North America. In 2007, the duo crossed the Upper Peninsula of Michigan by canoe, and arrived in Lake Michigan, at Manistique. The goal for 2008 is to continue down Lake Michigan to Green Bay, WI. and then across Wisconsin to the Mississippi. Watch this site for further developments, and E-mail if you want more details.
